I made these bracelets as gifts for a friend who was in town to drop her daughter off at college. They are made with size 10 crochet thread. They were blocked, but no stiffener.
I am working on developing patterns for these. Roughly, I started with a chain of roughly 65 stitches. I single crocheted down the chain, around the end and back down the other side of the chains. I went around again doing a fan edging, doing a buttonhole at one end with a chain 3 followed by single crochets. The large fan edging on the black bracelet is from The Ultimate Sourcebook of Knitting and Crochet Stitches, and a line of glass e beads were stitched into the first of three single crochet rounds. The flower bracelet uses Aunt Lydia’s Monet for the base bracelet, finished with surface crochet and a variety of flowers and leaves tacked on with glass imitation pearls. Both bracelets are approximately 7″ long.
